This traffic safety sign is used to inform and protect road users and the public. Traffic safety signs are used to indicate road traffic rules, parking rules, road or vehicle hazards and to inform and direct road users in an environment where vehicles are used.
The WK 091 Diverted Traffic signs should be used to indicate straight ahead, left or right at every decision point, for the road user to follow a diversion route for any road that is closed due to roadworks. The arrow direction may be varied to suit.
On diversions with long distances between decision points, it is recommended that the straight ahead variant be repeated at intervals, to reassure drivers that they are still on the correct route.
